About Us

Trevor J. Cleveland, O.D.

Dr. Cleveland graduated from northern Minnesota's Bemidji State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. In 1998, he received his Doctorate from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Dr. Cleveland is an active member of the American Optometric Association and current board member of Northwest Vision Associates. He is past president of the Student Optometric Association, served as chair of the Oregon Optometric Public Affairs Council, and is currently the chair of the Oregon Optometric Legislative Committee which works in support of primary care optometry across the state of Oregon. In the local community, Dr. Cleveland is a member of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Springfield Lions Club. He is also past president of the Willamette Business Association.

He married Andrea in 1999; they have three young boys, a large dog and a mortgage. Dr. Cleveland enjoys family, the outdoors, home repairs and spending time in his garage. He is an avid Minnesota Vikings fan!

Complete Vision Center History

In November of 1964 Dr. John Unfred, a fellow Pacific University College of Optometry graduate, started an optometry practice from scratch in downtown Springfield. In 1973, Dr. Unfred moved his practice into suite #2 of the brand new Springfield Professional Center complex located at 1717 Centennial Boulevard where he continued to practice for over two more decades.

Due to failing health, Dr. Unfred was forced to retire earlier than he had hoped. Dr. Cleveland bought the practice in the fall of 1999 with hopes to serve Dr. Unfred's patients while growing the practice in the 21st century. In 2001 the office name was changed to Complete Vision Center; office remodeling and expansion was completed early the following year. While Dr. Unfred passed away in October 2005 due to complications from Parkinson's disease, we believe the spirit and compassion he showed to his patients lives in the same location today...35 years later!
